Jimmy has been styling hair and cutting it since 1983. He opened the first Jimmy's Barber and Style salon in 1994. In 2004 he opened up the Southern Style Barber Salon Spa in Brunswick (which is now closed).

Then in 2011, he opened Jimmy's Barber and Style on Altama in May 2011 and expanded further with a second location at the mall in January 2014.
